Why I'm Going Public
Notes from the fight
WAR LOG — November 18, 2025
In 2024, I walked away from a nearly seven-year career at Coinbase to become a firefighter.
Over the past year, I’ve written hundreds of pages in my journal, trying to figure out my purpose, trying to understand what a man’s true roles and responsibilities are in today’s society.
Today, I’ve decided to stop hoarding this process and go public with it.
These are notes from my fight. If they help you in yours, I’ll keep writing them.
Why “Zero Compromise”?
I’ve reached a point where I no longer feel the need to compromise with illegitimate authorities that try to impose their definition of what a man is. Authorities whose definitions lead to weakness, destruction, death, and chaos.
I’m done holding my thoughts to myself.
For years, I was content to stay quiet. I had good money, a growing family, and no real desire to speak up.
But something changed over the last year. Changed who I am. Changed how I see the world.
It took me a while to reach this place. But I’m finally here.
Why This Matters
As humans, we’re technically more connected than we’ve ever been, but the evidence is clear: people feel more disconnected and isolated than ever.
If sharing my thoughts in public helps men find brotherhood, find purpose, and feel more connected, that’s what I’m going to do.
Yesterday, I shared my first piece with the world: THE ZERO COMPROMISE MANIFESTO
It’s grounded in a biblical perspective because that’s where the most truth lies. It’s the rock and foundation for guiding our thoughts, efforts, values, and beliefs.
Action Produces Information
My old CEO Brian Armstrong used to say: “Action produces information.”
This essay is my first action.
If you read it and respond, whether you like it, dislike it, agree or disagree, that’s my first bit of information. I’ll use that to figure out where I go from here.
So if you read this, let me know what you think. I’m genuinely interested in hearing your thoughts.
Read the Manifesto:
THE ZERO COMPROMISE MANIFESTO
There are two kinds of men: those who compromise with darkness, and those who crush it.
